Formed in the year 1906 headquartered at Kolkata, National Insurance Company or NIC has announced recruitment of 345 AO posts. NIC has around 16000 employees with over 1300 centers across India. The insurance company is a Central Government undertaking and one of the oldest insurance companies in the nation. Administrative officer (scale I): 300 posts (Generalist-200 and specialist-145)
Online application starts 20/02/2012 to 17/03/2012.
Written test on 22/04/2012
Eligibility as per post details: (as on 01/01/2012)
Age should be in 21 to 30 years (age reservation as per Central Government rules)
Eligibility minimum percentage is 55% for General and 50% for SC/ST.
Group G: should be graduate in any discipline (Generalist)
Group A1: BE/B.Tech in automobile engineering or Mechanical Engineering (PG diploma in automobile engg.)
Group A2: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Civil/Chemical/Civil Engg.
Group B1: Completed MBBS.
Group B2: BAMS degree holders
Group B3: Passed BHMS degree
Group C (finance): CA/M.COM/B.COM with MBA in finance eligible
Group D (actuarial): Graduation in Maths/Statistics/Actuarial science
Group E: Law graduate

Computer and general awareness
English descriptive test
On performance basis on objective test, candidates will be called for interview.
Male applicants: Rs. 425, Female applicants: Rs. 225 and SC/ST: RS. 75
Fees should be paid in any national insurance branch on or before 17th March 2012.
