Ibps Clerk 2012 Score Analysis: Probability Of Getting Call For Interview.

Institute of Banking Personnel and selection (IBPS) has announced the clerk results in late February 2012 and since then the confusions and queries have increased day by day to get a hint of the ibps clerk interview call score. IBPS has announced nearly 5 lakh candidates out of the 35 lakh plus candidates as successful and eligible for IBPS clerk interviews in the 19 public sector banks. But due to the huge number of successful candidates and less seats, it has been a confusion and chaos among the successful aspirants about their getting a seat in the banks. It has been

reported that nearly 20000-30000 clerk vacancies will be filled up in public as well as private sector banks. So, to get the aspirants out of the competition, experts have made well analysed reports of the chance of getting an interview call.

As per votes and expert analysis, it has been noted that the successful candidates can be divided into high to low score groups as a percentage. The categorisation is based on polls in several forums and experts from different recognised institues. It is to be noted that besides all of the polls some results may vary. Candidates are advised to visit and consult bank recruitment HRS and other established agencies. Let us see the common clerk succesful candidate average results as a percentage:

Above 200 5% of the total candidates
180-199 4% of the total candidates
160-179 17% of the total candidates
140-159 39% of the total candidates
120-139 32% of the total candidates

So, as we can see the reports of polling, it can be said that the top tier of candidates, that is above 200 will sure be getting a call for interview and also a guaranteed seat in the banks. The 200+ score candidates will even choose their likings in the banks and will take their priorities. Also 180-199 category candidates will get calls and get jobs guaranteed. After that, comes the next category candidates, that is the 160-179 ones. It is assured that they will get to apply for interviews in every bank, but when the interview eligible lists will come out, it may or may not be the case to get an interview seat. The first 2-3 banks may not give chance but after that, the banks which announce will surely call

them for interview. So be prepared for that.

The next category candidates, that is 140-159 have some less chances, but no one can say that there is no hope. If the banks call in a week interval gap, then there might be chances for a interview call. Suppose Indian Bank and Punjab National Bank has called and given offer letters to successful candidates. Then the successful candidates will get out of the competition and others will have more hope of getting into the other banks. The IBPS clerk score cutoff of 140-159 candidates can then apply for the next group of banks, that is 8th bank onwards and can hope for a call. The IBPS clerk interview call score for the rest candidates can be sleek as there have been many competitors up the row. But nevertheless have a wait and watch policy.

Also the cutoff is for general category. OBC candidates just decrease the score by 5-10% for a clerk interview call guarantee. Also SC/ST candidates can decrease it by 15% for their probability of getting clerk job. Ex servicemen and physically handicapped can hope for more decrease. But nevertheless, besides the scores the candidate performance in the interviews is the real deal. If you perform extraordinary, you may get chance above the top tier candidate who does not perform so well. So focus on interview skills and hope for the best.
